The Fake Instagram Comment Generator is a free Instagram comment section maker. It draws your comments where Instagram shows them: on the comment sheet that slides up over a post or reel, with each comment's picture, username, time and Reply, the heart with its like count, replies under their comment, and the emoji bar and "Add a comment" box at the bottom.
Write your own comments and replies, choose iPhone or Android and light or dark mode, then download the screen as a picture or record it scrolling as a video. Everything you make is a mockup for creative, educational and presentation use: please do not use it to mislead, impersonate or harm anyone.
A fake Instagram comment generator makes a picture of Instagram comments that were never posted. FakeDetail's builds a whole comment section, not a single comment card, so the result reads like a screenshot of the app. It works in your browser from your own text and pictures: nothing is posted, and no Instagram account is needed or used.
Use it as an Instagram comment template for a post you are planning, an Instagram comment mockup for a design or a pitch, or a quick comment screenshot for a lesson or a meme. It is not connected with Instagram or Meta.
1. Choose the phone. In Display Settings pick iPhone or Android, light or dark mode, and set the status bar: the clock, network, signal and battery.
2. Write the comments. In the Comments tab, click a comment to change its username, picture, text, time and likes, or click Add Comment. Drag comments into your order.
3. Add replies. Choose a comment and click Add Reply; replies show indented under it. Type a number in More Replies to add a "View replies" line.
4. Set the post. In the Post tab, upload the photo or a frame of the reel behind the comments, open the sheet halfway or all the way up, and add your own picture beside "Add a comment".
5. Download or record. Download the screen as a PNG, JPG or WEBP picture, or use Screen Recording to make a video of the comments scrolling by.
Comments and replies — up to 30 comments, each with up to 10 replies shown under it, in any order.
Usernames and pictures — any username up to Instagram's 30 characters and a picture of your own, or a drawn sample picture.
Badges and labels — Instagram's blue verified badge, the "Author" label of the post's owner, and the coloured story ring round a picture.
Text — comments of up to 2,200 characters, on several lines, with @mentions and #hashtags in Instagram's blue.
Likes and times — type 12500 and it shows "12.5K", as Instagram writes it; a liked comment's heart turns red. Times are as you type them: 5h, 2d, 3w.
The screen — the post or reel behind the comments, the sheet half open or expanded, the emoji bar, the status bar, Screen Size and the text size.
The comment sheet follows Instagram's current design, measured against Instagram's own pictures of its app on iPhone and Android, with Instagram's own icons and colours. The two phones differ where Instagram does: on Android the sheet's header has the share icon and a line under it, and the comment box has no outline; on iPhone the comment box is a rounded outline with the home indicator under it.
Only the comment list scrolls, as in the app: the post, the header, the emoji bar and the comment box stay where they are.
Download HD Image saves the screen as you see it, as a PNG, JPG or WEBP picture. Full Screen Download saves every comment in one tall picture. Screen Recording makes a video of the comment list scrolling, comment by comment, from the first comment to the last, at the speed and quality you choose.
Design and marketing — show a client how a campaign post could look with its comments, or test a caption before it goes live.
Video and content — a comment section to put in a reel, a video essay or a story, scrolled as a video.
Teaching — explain online etiquette, scams or misinformation with clearly made-up examples.
Fun — the comments you wish your post got, a parody, or a meme for your friends.
Pictures made here are mockups. Do not present them as real comments, put words in real people's mouths, fake reviews or engagement, or use them to harass, scam or mislead anyone. When you share one, say it is a mockup.
Save keeps the whole comment section, pictures included, in your browser, so you can come back and change it later; Save Setting keeps your phone and status bar as a preset for the next one. Premium accounts also keep them in their account.
Making the rest of the post too? Try the Fake Instagram Post Generator, the Fake Instagram Story Generator and the Fake Instagram Profile Generator, show who saw a story with the Fake Instagram Story Viewer, or make comments for another app with the TikTok comment generator.
