The fake Tumblr chat generator makes a Tumblr DM screenshot in a few minutes: write the messages, set the blog's name and picture, and download the conversation as an image or record it as a video in which the messages arrive one by one.
It draws Tumblr's own messages screen as the app shows it today — the dark blue top bar with the blog's picture and name, the conversation's opening with how you follow each other, the grey messages of the other blog and your dark blue ones, each time under its message, the "Active in the last hour" line and the Reply box at the bottom — on an iPhone or an Android phone, in light or dark mode. It is free, runs in your browser, and needs no Tumblr account and no app.
1. Set up the blog. In the Chat tab, type the blog's name, upload its picture and choose a round or square picture, then turn the green online dot on or off.
2. Write the conversation. In the Messages tab, add texts and photos from you or from the other blog, each with its time ("Today 9:06 AM", "Mar 03 9:06 AM"). Edit, move or remove any message in the list, or click it in the preview.
3. Choose the phone. In Display Settings, pick iPhone or Android, light or dark mode, and set the status bar: the clock, network, signal and battery.
4. Download or record. Download the chat as a PNG, JPG or WEBP image, or use Screen Recording to make a video of the chat: the other blog's messages after typing dots, yours typed into the Reply box first.
