Status Preview
This fake WhatsApp status view maker draws the screen WhatsApp shows you when you open your own status: your update at the top and, sliding up over it, the sheet with the number of views and the people who saw it.
You choose the view count, add every viewer with a name, a time and a photo, mark who liked the status, and download the result as a picture or a short video. Everything happens in your browser, online and free — nothing is posted to WhatsApp and no real account is touched.
Use it to create fake WhatsApp status views for mockups, app demos, presentations, tutorials and stories, on an iPhone or an Android layout.
Looking for the Fake Details WhatsApp status views tool? This is it: FakeDetail's status views generator, free to use with no sign-up.
WhatsApp draws the views sheet differently on each phone, and the generator follows both:
The sheet's heading reads "1 view" or "500 views", followed by the viewers, each with the time they looked, such as "today 9:14".
The heading reads "Viewed by 500", and each viewer shows a relative time, such as "Just now" or "4 minutes ago".
A viewer who liked your status gets WhatsApp's green heart on their photo. Above the sheet you still see the status itself — a photo with its caption or a coloured text status — with its progress bar, your name and the time it was posted.
Choose iPhone or Android with the buttons above the preview, or in Display Settings under Layout Settings. The sheet, the icons and the times change to that phone's style.
In the Status tab, choose Photo and upload a picture with a caption, or choose Text, type your message, pick a background colour and set the text size.
Under Viewers, keep "Show viewers sheet" on and type the number in Total Views. Leave it at 0 and the sheet counts the viewers in your list instead.
Enter a name, the time shown on iPhone and the time shown on Android, tick "Liked your status" if needed, add a photo and press Add Viewer. Repeat for each person.
In User Profile, add your photo, the name the screen shows (iPhone writes "Me", Android "My status" by default) and the time the status was posted.
Open Download HD Image under the preview to save the fake WhatsApp status views screenshot, or use Screen Recording for a video of the status playing.
The number in the heading and the people listed are set separately. Type 500 in Total Views and add a few viewers, and the sheet reads "500 views" (iPhone) or "Viewed by 500" (Android) over the names you entered — just as the real sheet shows the first viewers and scrolls for the rest.
Total Views takes any number up to 99,999. The sheet draws as many viewer rows as fit in the lower part of the screen, so a long list never covers the status above it.
Every viewer you add appears in the list under the form, where you can:
Edit a viewer's name, times, like or photo
Delete a viewer
Drag viewers into a new order
Clear Form to start the next viewer fresh
You can also hover a viewer in the preview to edit or delete them straight from the sheet. Turn "Show viewers sheet" off to show your status without the sheet.
Profile photo, your name for iPhone and for Android
The posting time, with a label and icon after it
An audience button with its emoji
Back button, profile photo and menu on or off
Status bar: clock, network, signal and battery
Progress bar: updates, the one playing and how far it has played
Dark Mode for the sheet, and the home bar
Photo fit and backdrop, font and screen size
Save a finished screen with Save This Status and come back to it later, and save your favourite display setup as a preset.
Image Format: PNG, JPG, JPEG or WEBP
Image Quality: for JPG, JPEG and WEBP
Download [Server-1]: the HD image of the screen
Full Screen Download: the whole phone screen
Screen Recording makes a short video of your status playing: the progress bar fills up to the point you set, with the views sheet in place, and the video ends on exactly the screen in the preview.
Choose the video quality, the format (MP4 or WebM, where your browser supports them) and the speed.
Design and app demos
Show how the status viewer list looks in a UI presentation, a portfolio piece or a product walkthrough, without real people's data.
Marketing mockups
Illustrate a campaign idea — what a status announcement could look like once it reaches an audience.
Tutorials and teaching
Explain where WhatsApp shows who viewed a status, on iPhone and Android, in guides, slides and classes.
Videos and stories
Add a believable phone screen to a short film, a storyboard or a social video, with the names and numbers your scene needs.
To show someone else's status instead of your own, use the Fake WhatsApp Status Generator; for the Updates list of statuses, the Fake WhatsApp Status List Generator.
The views and viewers you create here exist only in your picture or video. The generator cannot add real views to a WhatsApp status, and it never connects to WhatsApp.
It should not be used to:
Fake proof of a real status's reach or of who saw it
Impersonate real people for deceptive purposes
Mislead clients, sponsors or buyers about real audience numbers
Harass or threaten anyone
When you share a generated screenshot, make clear it is a mockup where that matters.
