The Fake Instagram Story Generator makes a realistic Instagram story in your browser, drawn in Instagram's own story viewer: the progress bars at the top, the profile picture, username and time, and the Send message bar under the story. Add photos, text and stickers to one story or to several in a row, then download it as a picture or record it as a video that plays like a real story.
Every part follows Instagram as it looks today on iPhone and Android, with Instagram's own icons. Nothing is posted and no Instagram account is needed: it is a story template and mockup for fun, creative work, presentations and lessons, not a way to post on someone's account.
1. Set the account. In the Profile tab, type the username, add a profile picture and turn on the blue verified badge or the green Close Friends badge if you need them.
2. Build the story. In the Story tab, add as many segments as you like. Give each one a photo, a colour or a gradient background, and the time it was posted.
3. Add text and stickers. Write text in five styles, then add stickers — a mention, a location, a poll, a quiz, music and more. Drag them in the Preview to place them.
4. Pick the phone. In Display Settings, choose iPhone or Android, set the status bar (time, signal, battery) and the screen size.
5. Download or record. Download the story as a PNG, JPG or WEBP picture, or use Screen Recording to save the whole story as a video.
The generator has the stickers of Instagram's story tray, each in its own design:
Mention, hashtag and location — tag an account, a hashtag or a place with the familiar white stickers.
Poll and quiz — two to four answers; show the poll's results in percent, or the quiz's right answer in green.
Questions and emoji slider — the "Ask me a question" box with your picture, or a slider with any emoji.
Music, link, countdown and Add Yours — a song with its cover, a link sticker, a countdown to an event, or an Add Yours prompt.
Text comes in five styles — Classic, Typewriter, Strong, Elegant and Neon — in Instagram's colours or your own, with or without a background box. To show a fake Instagram story with music, add the song's name under the username and a music sticker with the album cover.
Screen Recording plays your story as Instagram does: each segment in turn, its bar at the top filling over the time you set for it, then the next one. The header, the text and the stickers stay exactly where you put them. Choose the quality, the format (MP4 where your browser can record it) and the pace, and the video downloads when it ends — ready for a Reel, a TikTok, a YouTube video or a presentation. The video has no sound: add the music in your video editor.
