Threads Insights Preview
The Threads Insights Generator draws Threads' analytics screens from the numbers you type: the Overview with its summary, metric cards and views chart, the Audience with viewers, followers and demographics, and a single post's insights with its Higher, Typical or Lower comparisons. It follows the redesigned Insights that Threads introduced in September 2026, on an iPhone or an Android phone, in light or dark mode.
It is made for presentations, tutorials, templates and design work. It reads no real data and connects to no account.
Threads Insights is the analytics part of the Threads app: how many times your posts were seen, by how many people, who they were and how each post did. A Threads Insights generator lets you draw those screens yourself, for example to show a client what a monthly report will look like, to teach what each number means, or to design a slide without screenshotting a real account.
FakeDetail's generator reproduces the screens from Meta's own pictures of the redesign, with Threads' icons and colours. It is not connected with Meta, Threads or Instagram.
Open the Threads Insights Generator and follow these steps.
1. Pick the phone. In Display Settings, choose iPhone or Android, light or dark mode and the status bar.
2. Pick the screen. In the Insights tab, choose Overview, Audience or Post Insights, or tap Overview and Audience in the Preview.
3. Overview. Set the period and the summary, the metric cards (label, value and change), the values of the chart and its dates, and the posts list.
4. Audience. In the Audience & Post tab, set the viewers or followers, their change since a date, the followers and non-followers, and the rows of each demographic.
5. Post insights. Set the post, its summary, its four metrics with Higher, Typical or Lower, and its views over time for all viewers, followers and non-followers.
6. Save and download. Save the report, download it as a PNG, JPG or WEBP image, or record it scrolling as a video.
Views count how many times your posts were seen; viewers count the people who saw them. One person who reads three of your posts adds three views and one viewer, so views are always at least as high as viewers.
The Audience screen splits viewers into your followers and everyone else. A high share of non-followers means your posts travelled beyond your own audience, usually through the For you feed or search. The two always add up to the total, and the generator keeps them that way unless you turn it off.
New follows minus unfollows over the period. A negative change in grey is a slowdown compared with the period before, not necessarily a loss of followers.
On a post's insights, Threads compares each number with your own recent posts. Higher means the post beat your usual, Typical that it matched it, Lower that it fell short. It is a comparison with yourself, not with other accounts.
The redesigned Insights add a short written summary of how the profile and each post did, marked "Your insights, summarized by Meta AI." The generator lets you write that summary yourself and show or hide the note.
Countries, cities, age groups and gender, each a list of bars with its share in percent. Threads shows demographics only for profiles with enough followers, so a small account may not see them in the app.
In the Threads app, open your profile and tap the Insights icon (the small bar chart beside the Instagram icon), or open a post's menu and choose its insights. On the web, Insights is in the menu of threads.com. Threads keeps the last 90 days, and some numbers, demographics especially, appear only once an account has enough followers. If your insights are not showing, check that you are on your own profile and that the app is up to date.
Keep the totals honest. Views should be at least the viewers, and followers plus non-followers should equal the viewers.
Match the chart to the cards. The chart's highest point and the card it belongs to should tell the same story.
Write changes the Threads way. Rises with a plus sign show in green; falls with a minus sign show in grey.
Use real dates. Three dates under the chart, spread over the period you chose: 30 days, 90 days.
Agencies and social media managers show clients what a report or a goal looks like before the campaign runs.
Teachers, course creators and trainers explain each metric on a clean example instead of a real account.
Designers and product teams put a realistic analytics screen in a deck, a case study or a prototype.
Writers and video creators show a fictional creator's numbers in a story or a storyboard.
Pair it with the Fake Threads Profile Generator for the account itself, the Fake Threads Post Generator for the posts, and the Threads Reply Thread Generator for a conversation.
Every number in the generator is one you type. Use it for clearly labelled examples, plans and lessons. Do not present invented insights as an account's real results to sell a service, win a sponsorship or mislead anyone: that is deceptive, and in many countries it breaks advertising and consumer rules.
Choose iPhone or Android and light or dark mode in Display Settings, pick the Overview, Audience or Post Insights screen in the Insights tab, type your numbers and dates, and download the picture.
Three, as in Threads: the Overview (a summary, metric cards with their changes, a views chart and your posts), the Audience (viewers, followers and non-followers, and demographics by country, city, age and gender), and a post's insights (its summary, metrics compared with your usual, and views over time).
Views count how many times your posts were seen; viewers count the people who saw them, so one person who saw three posts adds three views and one viewer.
Threads compares each number of a post with your own recent posts: Higher means the post did better than your usual, Typical about the same, Lower below it. It is not a comparison with other accounts.
Yes. Type the values over time and the chart draws them, with its scale rounded up from the highest value (300K for 270K, as Threads does) and your three dates under it.
They do by default: the non-followers are the total less the followers, as in Threads' own example. Turn it off to type both yourself.
No. It only draws a picture from the numbers you type, in your browser. No Threads or Instagram account is used and no real data is read.
Please don't. Use it for presentations, tutorials, templates and plans that are clearly examples. Passing invented numbers off as an account's real performance misleads people and can break advertising and consumer rules.
